Activision Blizzard calls for cheaper consoles
DV Hardware — Activision Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick calls for further game console price cuts to enable further growth of the industry amid global economic crisis. Kotick also promised his company will launch more games for the Wii platform. “The price on platforms today has still not gotten down to mass-market price points and I think when you are in the economic circumstances that the world has found itself in, there really is a difference between a $199 game system and a $299 game system,” said Mr. Kotick in an interview with Reuters news-agency.
