AMD 880G AM3 Chipset Details Emerge

DX10.1 graphics core, support for DDR3 memory, HyperTransport 3.0, Universal Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2), Hybrid Crossfire with the on-board Radeon HD 3450 graphics core and a PCIe 2.0 x16 discrete card, Display Port/HDMI/DVI/SurroundView support. The new platform will also support Over Drive 3 which adds on-demand core overclocking, application specific controls, customizable AutoClock and improved hardware monitoring with adjustable fan speed. All in all it looks like AMD has another great chipset coming, now we just want to see some faster processors, as we don't think that DDR3 memory alone will bring enough of a performance boost to the AM3 processors to take on Intel.
