Phenom II Leaked
Neoseeker News Feed — EETimes - did they get an exclusive, or did they jump the gun? Everyone and their uncle has read the rumours of the Phenom II - formerly known as Deneb - and EETimes, a respected dead tree magazine (and web site) has jumped the gun, got NDA dates wrong, got an exclusive, or simply managed to really annoy AMD. I looked on AMD's press release page, and there is no sign of a press release announcing Phenom II, so take what you read with a grain of salt. According to EETimes : Frankly, the EETimes piece seems more like a rumour roundup / Shanghai rehash. We'll see how AMD reacts! ...

AMD Announces 45nm Phenom II?
AMDZone Frontpage — EE Times claims that AMD has announced the Phenom II. That is news to us here. Nothing on AMD's news section or Phenom section is talking about Phenom II. AMDcompare.com doesn't show any Phenom II either. I think Phenom II has not been announced yet. I imagine as rumors have said this is a CES launch. The AMD Phenom II chips will run at data rates up to 3 GHz. They come both in 65nm versions in an AM2+ socket for DDR2 and 45nm versions using an AM3 socket for DDR2 DDR3 memories running at up to 1333 MHz. The company claims the new chip provide up to ...

The site has posted prices for a couple of the upcoming Phenom II processors, and it claims AMD's upcoming 3GHz CPU will launch at $275—just $9 below the volume price of Intel's 2.66GHz Core i7-920. EE Times goes on to say the slower, 2.8GHz Phenom II will cost $235, which would put it in roughly the same ballpark as Intel's new 2.5GHz ...
