ASUS Announces the Eee PC 1008HA 10-inch Netbook

... as CeBIT exponent at this time, its launch date or MSRP are still unknown, but it's going to get some retail attention for sure sooner or later. Specs of the little box are also tight. For now, we only know that it weights less than 2.5 pounds and has built-in 1.3MP webcam, Draft-N wireless network card, Bluetooth and probably an optional WiMAX module. Other than that, there're a few press photos.

... released as yet, it looks like the 1008HA should offer some pretty decent additions such as 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, optional HSDPA modem and even WiMAX. At about 1.1kg and 2.5cm thick it's not too bulky either and its meant to have a multi-touch touch pad and SRS enhanced sound. The early pictures doesn't reveal any ports, as they're all hidden by small hatches and we've yet to find out what CPU, chipset and storage device it will be coming with.
