JustJosh Wow, that is aggresively overclocked. 666MHz, this card must run extremely hot or that heatsink is extremely efficient.
XFX GTX 260 (216S.P) Black Edition
HardwareHeaven.com —
... "Of course, this is no regular GTX 260. XFX did a nice job here: the shader boost helped, but what really made this card scream is the aggressive overclocking that XFX executed here. Some overclocked cards offer a little performance boost here, and half a frame a second over there... the Black Edition however has enough of a nitro kick to propel it to another level of performance entirely."

Rumor: XFX to leave NVIDIA to join with ATI
Neoseeker News Feed —
... today offered the rumor -- citing the "word on the street" -- that long time NVIDIA partner XFX will soon start making cards for ATI instead. XFX is known for packaging games with its video cards, overclocking them, and offering a double life-time warranty on all its products. We recently reviewed and throughly appreciated XFX 's GTX 260 (216 SP) Black Edition , which turned out to be faster than a stock GTX 280. As stated earlier in this year in July on the ...
Rumor: GTX 260 GX2 coming in January
Neoseeker News Feed —
... at the Consumer Electronics Show, on January 9th, with retail appearances following soon thereafter. The card has not been officially announced, but doesn't seem unreasonable. It would also make sense that NVIDIA would want to make a GTX 260 GX2, instead of GTX 280 GX2. Due to GPU yields, and the challenges of keeping a hypothetical GTX 280 GX2 cool, the GTX 260 GX2 seems like a better bet. Especially if NVIDIA decides to use the 216 shader core version of the GTX 260, which has been shown to challenge the supremacy of the HD 4870, the GTX 260 GX2 might be fast enough to make ...
XFX to start selling ATI cards
Neoseeker News Feed —
While continuing to sell NVIDIA products It has been rumored for a long time, but today it is official: XFX will start to sell ATI GPUs. Starting with the ever-popular HD 4000 series, in early 2009 XFX branded ATI cards will be hitting the shelves. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with. For a starters, perhaps a HD 4870 X2 Black Edition would get things off to the right start. Definitely our latest XFX card reviewed, the GTX 260 Black Edition was a solid product. AMD's Rick Bergman was quoted as saying the following in a press release: "In the world of PC gaming, ...
