DFI announces DF LP JR X58-T3H6

... So it was no surprise that they would jump into the X58 market with both feet. What I do not think would have been expected would be a high-end MicroATX board for the Core i7. But that is just what they have done according to VR-Zone. The new DFI LanParty JR X58-T3H6 sports the X58 chipset, Six DDR3 slots, two PCI x16 slots (more than likely x16 physical and x8 data) for SLI or Crossfire and a host of other features that make this a truly powerful little board. The BIOS features CMOS Reloaded, Voltage Tuning for vDIMM, vNB, vCore, vSB, vHT, frequency tuning in increments of 1 MHz, adjustable CPU multiplier, and ABS technology system. The board features as many as 7 fan headers, onboard power and reset switches, and diagnostic LED display. There is no word on the pricing or availability at this point in time.

This crazy little board has no less than six fan headers (including the one for the CPU cooler) and there's a floppy-style power connector near the bottom PCIe slot for adding some extra power for power hungry graphics cards. No details on a launch date or pricing have emerged, but we'd guess this one won't be cheap. More details and pictures here

DFI is preparing a microATX board based on Intel X58 chipset slated for
release in January 2009. The PCB is black in colour and has 4 layers
measuring at 245x245mm size. With 6 phase digital PWM design, it supports
the LGA1366 processors from 4.8 to 6.4GT/s QPI. There are 6 DIMM slots on
the board to allow up to 24GB DDR3-800/1066/1333 memories and two PCIe x16
slots for 2-way SLI and Quad Crossfire
