No 40nm For Foundry Company
AMDZone Frontpage —
Fudo reports that the Foundry Company will not be doing half nodes which includes the 40nm process. Fudzilla got confirmation from Foundry executives that currently there are no plans for half nodes so there won’t be 40nm based graphics products coming from that facility. There will be 32nm bulk process, so called the full node so this might indicate that after 40nm we will see some 32nm graphics chips probably R9x0 based.

Radeon HD 4830 Next Week?
AMDZone Frontpage —
Fudo expects the Radeon HD 4830 to come next week. The card is based on RV770LE core, which is nothing more than RV770PRO with a few pipelines disabled, more conservative clock and lesser bandwidth. This naturally means that this card will end up significantly cheaper than Radeon HD 4850 and it is out and about to fight Geforce 9800GT based products.
