We really expected the P55 chipset and what so far seems to be the Core i5 processor to launch at Computex held in Taipei, Taiwan during the first week of June, but from what we've heard today, this isn't the plan, although Intel's partners will be allowed to have boards on display. It's highly unlikely there even will be a paper launch, as our understanding is that Intel is doing some re-jigging of the P55 chipset. Fudzilla says that Intel is pushing back the release of the Intel Core i5 processors and P55 chipset. It was originally expected that Intel would launch the new platform at Computex in June this year. Now it appears that Intel is pushing things back, and rumors that have been heard include August, September, and October. Intel has pushed its P55 chipset and Core i5 processor launch back to sometime between August and October according to Fudzilla. Although AIB (Add In Board) partners have been given permission to display P55 motherboards at Computex in Taipei early next month, Intel isn't ready for the launch. Sources say that Intel is apparently rearranging features of the P55 chipset, and adding some features from the P57 chipset.
