TweakTown News RSS Feed — ... that Kingston's new SSDNow V Series 40GB Boot Drive (based on Intel's 2nd gen 45nm SSD) is now available for a mere $85 MSRP. And unlike the first batch of V series SSDS which had highly underwhelming read and write rates, this V series offering is more like the V+ range with a 170MB/sec read rate, though its write rate is still left severely crippled at just 40MB/sec due to the use of just five MLC chips.
