    ViewSonic has always come across as a reliable brand in my opinion. They all work great, never had one fail.

ViewSonic VX2262wm Super HD Monitor

It even has a 1680x1050 resolution, which is higher than some similarly-priced monitors, as well as a 16:10 aspect ratio. It’s a shame the stand can't be raised or lowered for a more comfortable viewing experience, and the cable tidy sucks. Also, the backlight bleeds around the edges slightly, but how often do you sit looking at a blank screen? Link: BIOS Mag
